Something To Think About

The current officers will be leaving office in April, 2012.  We will need volunteers and ladies who would be willing to serve for the 2012-2013 golf season.  Our summer season will be a little different this year but we will need HELP to restructure!!!  Our League will only survive if we get the ladies to volunteer to run for the board and help out with the summer season.  Keep this in mind and if you are not sure what is involved, please ask one of the officers just what being on the board entails.  Our officers are Mary Fisher, Lynn Glessing and Kris Pucci.  Any one of them will try to answer your questions.

Another Stableford Thursday!!

It was another beautiful Thursday and we had 38 ladies out for a wonderful day.  Bobby was not in today, but ML did a great job.  There were three flights as well as our regular Closest-to-the-Pins and Chip-in contests. This week there were three chip-ins - Joanne Merrell, Anna Bellantoni and Lenore Green.

The Closest-to-the-Pin contests were won by Dolores Ainsworth on #6 and Debbie George on #14.

Low Gross-Low Net-Low Putts

Another good turnout for the Florida Club Ladies League, but Bobby seemed a little stressed during the result portion of the day.  Sorry, Bobby!!  There seemed to be a large number of chip-ins today - 7 to be exact.  Not only was it a chip-in, but it also went on the card as a ZERO Putt.  Good job, ladies.  The ZERO putts went to Lenore Green, Juli Weeks, Kris Pucci Jane Hunston, Michelle Yablonski, Deb Pfrogner and Carol Clarey.  Our closest-to-the-pins went to Kathy Nygard on #6 and Janell Miller on #17.  We had three winners in each of three flights.

Thursday, January 26 will be Stableford flights.  Also, the Member-Member/Member-Guest forms are on the board.  This event is scheduled for February 16.  Keep that in mind if you are not around next week.  If you need a form, have someone pick it up for you.

Better Weather Means More Golfers

I guess we all check The Weather Channel as there were 44 golfers out on Thursday for Stableford Flights.  Quite a change from last week.  There were four flights, as well as the usual Closest-to-the-Pin and Chip-in  contests.  And the winners are...................................

BR-R-R-R-R Welcome 2012!!

It was a cold day, but 15 very bundled up ladies braved the very chilly temperatures.  By the time we finished, it was quite nice.  Bobby made an executive decision and went with Low Gross-Low Net rather than our scheduled team event.  It was definitely the right decision.

In the Blue Flight our winners were:  Low Gross - Peggy Mahoney
                                                       Low Net - Kris Pucci

There were only two chip-ins, Vera Haller and Daixa Kops.  Barbara Davis was  closest-to-the-pin on #6 and Loretta Moffatt on #14.  Loretta had a very good day!

Hopefully, next week will be a little warmer when we have a Stableford Flights event.  Keep an eye on the Weather Channel and sign up by Wednesday at noon.  Also, if you do sign up and feel that you won't make it, please call as soon as you can.  We all appreciate it.
