I'M BACK!!

Sorry it has been so long, but those of you who know me know that there are alot of things going on.  I will be playing on a hit and miss basis but if I play then I will post the results.  I would be happy to pass on the BLOG to anyone who might want to keep it up.  It is quite easy and I would go through it with you.  If you are interested let me know.

Here are the results from this past Thursday, January 10.  We had a great turn out and the weather was quite nice - although a little wet to begin.

The event was Blind Nine and Cliff chose the front for the event.  There were two places paid in each of four groups.

Group #1:  1st - Brenda Kositzka
                  2nd - Judy Gordon

Group #2:  1st - Peggy Mahoney
                  2nd - Eileen Brennan

Group #3:  1st - Mary Fisher
                  2nd - Irene Sorrentino

Group #4:  1st - Elaine Storms
                  2nd - Lynn Glessing

There were 6 chip-in's,  Bev Hopwood (2), Fran Massolini, Barbara Davis, Sue Beale and Peggy Mahoney.

The closet to the pin on #6 was Fran Massolini and on #14 Judy Gordon.

As you can see we had some multiple winners!!  Congrats to all.

RESULTS - November 29th

After a few weeks away from golf, I am back and ready to post again!!  We welcomed several new members on Thursday and had a nice day for golf.  Thanks to Cliff for getting us going!!

Two places in each of 4 flights were paid as well as chip-ins and CTP contests.

Chip-ins were falling like crazy.  There were five winners with seven chip-ins:

Rose Langley, Jane Hunston, Barb Berthiaume each had one and Bev Hopwood and Peg Mahoney had two each.  Peg also had three birdies.  Quite some day for Peg.

Mary Fisher was closest to the pin on #6 and Jane Taylor was closest on #14.

And the winners in each flight are................

2nd Flight:  Lydia Cesario - 1st

Results for November 8

I am finally getting around to posting last Thursday's results.  Sorry about the delay.

We were a small group on Thursday but it was a beautiful day and I know that everyone had a good time.  I know that I speak for all of us when I say that it was great seeing Barb Schupp with us on Thursday. 

There were three chip-ins:  Ann Young, Joan Martin and Barb Schupp.   Way to go!!

Our closest-to-the-pin contests were won by Barb Schupp on Hole 6 and Brenda Kositzka on Hole 14.  I don't know about anyone else but I couldn't even get close to the green much less the hole.  Congratulations to both ladies.

The BLOG is back!!

The 2012-2013 Ladies League has officially begun and until I sell my house I will continue to post information about Thursday's events.  We are starting a new season with brand new officers. Thanks so much to Deb George, Peg Mahoney and Brenda Kositzka for serving as our officers.  The league this year will be a Stableford League.  We all received a handout with valuable information.  Please read and keep handy.  The Pro Shop will continue to set up the pairings and take care of all scoring.  Please sign up either at the Club House or On-line by Tuesday at noon.  I am sure we are all looking forward to a great year!

I'm Back!!!

The BLOG is back again.  I know that the last two weeks went fine and I have to admit that I did miss playing.  Before I get to the winners from today, I want to again ask you all to consider serving on the board for the upcoming winter season.  Mary, Lynn and I would be happy to talk to any of you who might be interested.  Any past board member would also be willing to share their experiences.  It is an important job, but it is not a hard job.  I guess to me the biggest challenge was just getting up and getting to the club house.  ( I like to sleep!)  Please, give it some thought.

WOW, What a Day!!

Today, we had some great scoring with Brenda Kositzka and Susan Roskey having exceptional days.  Both were +10 and Brenda shot a 76.  Great golfing!!!

Next week, the event will be Low Gross/Low Net since the Mixed Member/Member has been rescheduled.  Unfortunately, this will be the last post for two weeks as I will be heading to the cold for a couple weeks.  Also, keep in mind that we will be looking for some members to run for office for the 2012-2013 Ladies League.  Ideally, it would be nice to have our new officers in place by April 1.

Winners, winners and more winners!!

We had quite a few winners on this Stableford Flights day.  First, the chip-ins -- Rosemary Oxenham, Nancy Gianetti, Judy Hlavacek, Juli Weeks and Jane Taylor all had one chip-in.  Sue Weiner and Yuri Shinohara had 2 chip-ins each.  Way to go, ladies.  Rosemary Oxenham (for another win) won Closest-to-the-Pin on #6 and our beloved president, Mary Fisher, won Closest-to-the-Pin on #17.
